Well, although I do not favor the use of java, but only by their semantics (and other nuisances and mental Birdbrain) architecture not because I consider really bad, it's more the concept is very good (though exaggerated) , and I would think the business model that has kept a good balance SUN ...
But some believe that SUN do not stop until 100% free java code will not be a true and complete tool for the open source world
